The route sections from Stages 1–5 and Stage 33 are currently waymarked with Turas Columbanus / Columban Way signage. Stages 6–33 are not yet physically waymarked but can still be followed using GPX navigation.

The route from St. Mullins to Belturbet is covered by the Ordnance Survey Ireland Discovery Series (1:50,000), sheets 68, 61, 55, 49, 42, 35 and 27.
The route from Crom to Bangor is covered by the Ordnance Survey Northern Ireland Discovery Series (1:50,000), sheets 27, 20, 21 and 29.
